    Teamspeak 3 Server Tutorial

"You can run one 32 slot teamspeak 3 server without a license"

Below is a brief tutorial on how to get you up and running ASAP.

First go to TeamSpeak - Welcome to TeamSpeak and down load the BETA Server. They have either 32bit or 64bit, make sure you download the correct one. for WINDOWS. If you are not sure 32bit will run in both envoroments.

Extract the files to a directory of your choice. Something like

    C:\teamspeak3-server_win32-3.0.0-beta2\serverfiles here.

Now you will need to create a bat file to start the server or you can add the exe to Firedaemon and use the following parameters to start your server.

Areas in RED should be edited to meet your needs and bind to your IP.

    ts3server_win32.exe default_voice_port=9987 voice_ip=IPTOBINTO create_default_virtualserver=1 query_port=10011 query_ip=IPTOBINDTO clear_database=0

The first time your server fires up it will generate a SuperAdmin token and a Admin token.

WRITE THESE DOWN!!! They can also be retrived from the server log. If you lose them you will need to delete the servers db file and restart it butthis will lose all your data.

Ok so your server is up and you have saved your tokens.

Install your client locally on your PC from the same teamspeak.com downloads page. put in the IP and port and login.

Once you are logged in you can go to the Permissions use token tab and input your token, this will make you a admin.

DO NOT ATTEMTPT TO MAKE YOUR SERVER MORE THAN 32 SLOTS OR CREATE A ADDITIONAL VIRTUAL SERVER.

This can cause your TS3 server to stop responding and in some rare cases eat up all the CPU on your dedicated box.

Remember these are BETA servers and all bugs or support issues concerning it need to be directed to the teamspeak BETA forums.
